About Destroy Website
A small browser game about breaking web pages. It exists because closing a pop-up is never as satisfying as it should be.
Who makes it
Destroy Website is made by FantasyByte, a one-person studio that builds small web tools and mobile apps. It is an independent project and is not connected to any website that appears in the game or that you type into it.
How it works
Every level is an ordinary web page. The game lays the page out once in a sealed frame, measures each word, image, button and background, and rebuilds them as separate pieces that can fall. The three built-in levels are invented sites; every brand, person and number in them is made up.
When you type a real address, our server fetches that page the way a search engine would, and your browser takes it apart. Scripts on the page never run. The request identifies itself as DestroyWebsite/1.0 and links back to this page.
For site owners
The game shows a visitor a copy of one public page, on their own screen, at their request. It does not send traffic, clicks or form submissions to your site, and it does not republish your page anywhere. If you would still rather your domain could not be loaded here, write to hello@destroywebsite.app from an address at that domain and it will be blocked.
